Hair Lotion Uses
Hair lotion can be used in many different ways. It all just depends on what the ingredients are in the hair lotion and how they were intended to be applied. Most hair lotions fall under the following category:
- Conditioning Hair Lotion - made to be applied and left on the hair overnight then rinsed off in the morning. Conditioning hair lotions are sort of like a more intensive version of your regular daily conditioner. It’s meant to be heavy so it can condition your locks deep down from the roots to the tips so this is something that you’d only use once every week or so.
- Texturizing Hair Lotion - like your conditioning hair lotion, a texturizing hair lotion is also meant to be left on the hair. What makes them different, though, is that a texturizing hair lotion is supposed to help make styling your hair easier by adding texture to your hair that will help it hold any style or even just make it look more interesting.
- Thickening Hair Lotion - as the name suggests, this type of hair lotion is meant to help with boosting your hair’s volume. This haircare product is perfect for people with thin hair as it can add more body to it, making it look less limp and less lifeless. Thickening hair lotion is also often called volumizing hair lotion or brushing hair lotion.
- Curling Hair Lotion - last on our list is the curling hair lotion. This is a chemical solution used to make hair hold the shape of curls semi-permanently. This is often used for perms and semi-permanent curls to make the hairstyle last longer and look more beautiful.
